Lubavitch Educational Center is proud to offer an elementary school program for boys in grades 1 to 7 and girls in grades 1 to 6 that accommodates a diverse enrollment with a variety of needs. From the very beginning students are exposed to a broad curriculum of Jewish studies. Chumash, Sefer HaMitzvos, Hebrew reading and writing, brochos and the weekly Torah portion initiate the early elementary school student in basic Torah subjects. As they become more skilled, Novi, Mishna, Rashi commentary and Gemorrah are added. For students entering Lubavitch Elementary School with a minimal background in Jewish studies, a well organized tutoring program is available.
Throughout the elementary school years, students are exposed to Jewish concepts and values that are learned through activities and stories which are reinforced with the Chabad philosophy of living Judaism with love and, specifically, the love of our fellow Jew--ahavas Yisroel.
The elementary general studies division is committed to a strong academic curriculum. In addition to the core subjects of math, science, social studies and English, students have an extra-curricular program of computers, physical education, art, library, sewing and dance. A strong writing program taps into students creativity as they develop their strengths while writing poetry, essays, reports and doing research.
